* Obtains second victory of the year and third in his time at NASCAR Mexico.
The driver from the capital, Xavi Razo, linked his second checkered flag of the year and the third during his time in the NASCAR Mexico Series, by winning the fifth date of the series that was played at the Miguel E. Abed de Amozoc international racetrack circuit, Puebla.
The steering wheel of the car marked with the number 7 TJLogistics-GrupoJava-GPLogistics-DYCINSA-PETenvasesDeOccidente-IUVuniversidad-MotionsSports-M&A continued with luck after having debuted as a dad a couple of weeks ago.
“We're two in a row, I'm very happy, the team did a great job, Rubén García was attacking very hard throughout the race, but we did a great job. We have two consecutive wins and we are heading towards the championship”, indicated the man from the capital.
“Yellow flags always cause you to lose all the advantage you have and it's hard to get it back. Thank you all for the support and my team for having confidence in me”, Razo stressed.
The member of the Prime Sports team stressed that he had to withstand the onslaught of Rubén García Jr. throughout the competition in the 2,590-meter-long circuit in Puebla to score the victory.
“Someone went off and when he rejoined the track he left too much grass lying around, so when we entered the corner the car skidded completely and Rubén García attacked me, I was able to defend myself and luckily I finished in first place, it was very difficult” , indicated Xavi, who thanked the support of sponsors and the coach of his team, Jordi Vidal.
At the end of the event, the pilot from the capital was awarded at the top of the podium by Martha Teresa Ornelas Guerrero, Secretary of Tourism of the Government of Puebla.
The sixth date of the 2022 NASCAR Mexico Series will be held on August 7 at the Potosí super oval
